I’m Hans Djalali, a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of North Texas. My work sits at the intersection of usability, accessibility, and software engineering. I study how developers talk about and fix real problems—on platforms like Stack Overflow and across the research literature—and turn those insights into tools and guidelines people can actually use. Most days I’m running empirical studies, cleaning datasets, and writing up clear, practical findings. I care about things that reduce friction for real users: cleaner screen-reader flows, better keyboard navigation, and mobile interfaces that feel natural. If it helps someone finish a task faster and with less frustration, it matters. I’m also a Teaching Fellow who works closely with student teams on scoped, shippable projects. My classes focus on early feedback, lightweight testing, and steady iteration. Outside the lab, I make music and take photos—habits that keep my design sense tuned to how things look, sound, and feel.
